You have probably heard me say over and over again, your thoughts create your reality. That is because, it is true. What you think and say becomes your true reality and what you attract to your life. Want to change the way your life is? Want a different outcome? If you said yes, then it’s time to get out there and changing your thoughts and how you talk to yourself. This isn’t something that happens over night but more of a process to follow to get you in a routine and on the right track with your thinking.
Before I give you some tips, I want you to take a moment right now as you are reading this, be in the present. Now, imagine your life down the line. How do you want to feel personally or emotionally. Write that down. Keep it somewhere so you can see if often as a reminder of what you are working on.
“Be mindful and in the
moment”
Here are some tips to help you:
*Awareness: Being aware of your thoughts is the most important part of this process. If you aren’t aware of what you need to change, you can’t change it. The key to awareness is being present in the moment. Create a habit of it. Be aware of what triggers you and how you respond to it.
*Recognize: Now that you have awareness of the thoughts you want to change, you need to recognize when these come up. Take a look at your triggers are for them. Remember to be mindful and in the moment.
*Implement: Now that you have that awareness and recognition it’s time for the fun part. The part where you get to change that thought to a healthier one. Take that thought, write it down and replace it with a positive thought.
The following is an example for you to see:
Negative thought: “I can’t get up the courage to speak on stage.”
Better thought: “ I know this is going to be out of my comfort zone but I can do this”
*Celebrate: Celebrate your wins every step of the way. This is celebrating when you have a new awareness, when you recognize and when you are implementing, This will give you motivation to keep moving forward.
Following this process to help you reach your goal. Remember, your thoughts are such as important part of your reality.
